Putzmeister receives 4th order within a year from RWE Power AG, Germany
Following the contract for the replacement investment in two new coal slurry pumps at the site Frechen of RWE Power AG and the two orders for the 2nd sewage sludge co-incineration plant at the site Knapsacker Hügel Goldenbergwerk, the third sewage sludge co-incineration line for the Goldenbergwerk has now been awarded to Putzmeister.
RWE Power AG is investing over € 10 million in sewage sludge utilization this year and next. The two new pump lines Putzmeister is supplying thus decisively support the strategy of a greener RWE. By using sewage sludge - which is considered to be CO2 neutral - lignite can be saved as fuel and produce less greenhouse gases per ton of steam or kilowatt-hour of electricity.
Sewage sludge line 2 should be completed by the end of 2019 and line 3 will be completed by spring 2020.
Another similar sewage sludge incineration project is currently under negotiation and should be decided in the coming weeks.
The great trust in Putzmeister was largely due to the excellent service provided by the Essen service branch over the last 25 years at the Frechen site of RWE. Compared to our competitors, the customer proximity and quality of our service network is thus repeatedly paying off for the Putzmeister Industrial Technology business.
